Posters ask Rajinikanth to join politics.

Posters surface in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu asking actor Rajinikanth to join politics and float a party.
The actor’s fans and supporters had in the past urged him to enter politics and float a political party, but the actor has been non-committal in this regard.
In 1996, Rajinikanth had come out in the open against the then Jayalalithaa government and had backed the DMK-TMC combine which swept that year's Assembly polls.
Earlier in the day, the actor asked fan club members from all districts to assemble in Chennai on April 2.
The meeting comes just days after Rajinikanth's visit for Sri Lanka was blocked by Tamil politicians.
Rajinikanth wrote to Sri Lankan tamils expressing gratitude to them saying that he was left with no words when he came to know about the love and support that people sent his way. He also said he would meet them at an appropriate time later.
